At XUHUI LAB IT, we know that your email is as good as an extension of yourself. So why should your email address be any different?

That’s why we’ve introduced FriendlyMail.

With this easy service, you can customize the email address on your XUHUI LAB mail, to make it distinctively yours.

This means you can kiss goodbye to that cryptic string of alphabets and numbers automatically assigned to the email address of every new xuhuilab student or staff member.

Even outgoing mails will be sent out from your brand new FriendlyMail address.

Once set up successfully, it means that your login address will become the FriendlyMail you set up and no longer be your school number. Although you will still receive emails sent to your school number, at this point your school number becomes an alias. Your default email address and your FriendlyMail address belong to the same mailbox. Please note, the password will remain the same.

FAQ: FriendlyMail

1.What is a Friendly Mail?

A FriendlyMail is an alternate email address that you can apply for at no additional charges. It will be associated to the same mailbox as your default email address (eg. 50000xxx@xuhuilab.com, 100000xxx@xuhuilab.com for staff, 211xxxxx@xuhuilab.com, 222xxxxx@xuhuilab.com for students) that was issued to you when you first became a part of the Xuhuilab community.

Important: It is not necessary to set email redirection or auto-forwarding from your default email address to your FriendlyMail since both email addresses belong to the same mailbox.

2. What will happen to my default email address (e.g. lgp@xuhuilab.com, 2221003459@xuhuilab.com)?

After you have applied for a FriendlyMail, messages sent to either your default email address or Friendly Mail will be delivered to your mailbox.

If you change your FriendlyMal, however, all mails sent to the old FriendlyMail wil no longer be delivered to you.

3. What email address would the recipents see?

They will now see your new FriendlyMail address.
